Are you a leader in healthcare public affairs who is looking for the next big role? At Lexington we are looking for an ambitious, experienced and enthusiastic Associate Director to help join the leadership team of our award-winning healthcare practice, work across our range of brilliant UK and global clients, and support our continued growth.
In this role you will be a key leader within the health team, heading up campaigns to help solve some of the sector’s biggest healthcare challenges. We work right across the healthcare sector, with innovative HealthTech and global pharma companies, passionate patient groups, and leading trade bodies. We deliver award-winning campaigns to raise awareness, drive behaviour change and deliver successful outcomes for our clients. From generating patient case studies and data-led media campaigns, through to profiling the positive impact of new technology with policy makers, Lexington is at the forefront of healthcare communications and public affairs.
We are looking for candidates with prior experience of leading public affairs programmes in the life sciences sector, either in-house or from another agency. You will join a friendly team where there will be significant opportunities for career development. Key responsibilities will include:
Lead on key public affairs and integrated PA/PR accounts across a range of different areas
Take a leading role in new business activity and marketing, including seeking out new leads, drafting proposals and leading in new business pitches
Develop campaigns to deliver tangible policy change
Act as day-to-day lead on project implementation
Manage the delivery of Lexington Health events
Line management and mentorship to help team members reach their full potential

We are looking for a talented Senior Consultant (Public Affairs, Engagement, Property) to play a key role in our vibrant office in central Manchester.
At Lexington, we focus on getting the most talented people in the room to do the best quality work, and building a fun and rewarding culture where people love their work and develop their careers.
The successful applicant will work with a fantastic variety of clients, providing support across public affairs, corporate communications and engagement. Our core business is providing strategic advice and services across real estate and property, including energy, housing, transport and infrastructure.
We need excellent copy writers and terrific communicators, able to express themselves confidently and articulately. Agency and inhouse experience are both warmly welcomed. Experience of property communications, including community and stakeholder engagement, is desirable but not essential.

Our work is often political in nature, so political experience and understanding is an advantage, for example experience of being a local councillor, or working for a political party or MP, of any political persuasion.

Desirable experience:
Experience in strategic communications, public affairs, or property
Experience working in strategic communications roles inhouse
Record of successful client management and account development in agency
Working for a political party or being a local councillor
Familiarity with the planning system, including community and stakeholder engagement
Responsibilities will include:
Owning client relationships and providing strategic communications advice and services
Playing a key role responding to new business briefs and pitching to prospective clients
Developing and delivering communication, campaign and engagement strategies
Working collaboratively with colleagues to provide quality assurance across accounts
Mentoring junior colleagues and playing a role in their professional development
